EU Supported CASE ProgrammeThe Civil Society Advocacy, Sensitization and Empowerment programme (CASE Project) is a 4 year programme funded by European Union with the support of MS Action Aid. this programme is aimed at enhancing the organisational capacities of CSO's in the four target provinces of Eastern, Copperbelt, Lusaka and Luapula to engage local government much more effectively from the position of strength, and to hold local government accountable by tracking budget allocations and spending within the health and education sectors. This is also aimed at bringing the stalled National Decentralisation Policy back on public agenda by creating bottom up demand for its implementation. Finally it is also envisaged that the programme will significantly strengthen citizens' knowledge on how to participate in national decision making processes at local level, through increased awareness of citizens' rights and obligations. |
